Our men’s winter slippers are crafted following the ancient Tyrolean tradition, using only natural materials: boiled wool or wool felt for the upper, and felt, latex, cork, or rubber for the sole. Each model is designed to provide comfort and well-being for every foot shape, keeping feet warm while promoting natural breathability.

Men’s Winter Slippers: Materials

Why did we choose wool for our slippers? Thanks to its excellent insulating properties, wool protects the body from external temperatures while allowing feet to breathe and absorb moisture. This helps prevent excessive sweating and unpleasant odors.

Löwenweiss slipper soles are handcrafted, one by one. In some models, the felt sole is stitched to the upper and then dipped in a natural latex mixture, while in others, the latex is sprayed directly onto the sole. For the Belt, Chalet, and Root clogs, we mix latex with cork to create a durable sole suitable for outdoor use. Latex has antibacterial and anti-mold properties and is highly elastic, meaning it quickly recovers its original shape after repeated mechanical stress.
